We have been reading "The Castle in the Attic" as our novel study in class. We have also been learning about the Medieval Times. The students did a great job drawing castles and using watercolour paints to finish them off.
The students finished up their Rube Goldberg machines last week. They did a fantastic job using simple machines to build them. They all worked really well in their groups. Ask your child how they turned out. This is a project they could do again at home using household items.
We were lucky to have Curtis Dickson who plays for the Calgary Roughnecks NLL team in our school last week. They taught us all about lacrosse which is Canada's national summer sport.
We also got into groups and raced our cars that we built at home. We then wrote about our results of who won the races. |
