The students made cards for seniors this week. The seniors will use these cards to send them to their friends, family and loved ones.
The last couple of weeks have been extremely cold and the students have been indoors for recess. We noticed that there were quite a few of us with bananas as snacks and decided to take a picture. We did an experiment in Science to see how simple machines make work easier. The students used forks to whisk the cream into whipped cream and Miss Roberson used a hand mixer to make the whipped cream. The forks took 30 minutes and the machine took less than 3 minutes. They concluded that machines help make work easier in our everyday lives because they take less effort and less time.
This week the students worked in the Makerspace to build Rube Goldberg machines. They used their knowledge of simple machines to help build these machines. Take a look at the building process.
The students also did an experiment called "Lift the teacher." Ask your child what they learned. |
